SOACH supports institutions for the mentally and physically challenged, working with them to impart vocational skills that will sustain the differently able with a gratifying livelihood.

Our interactions with the differently- able have challenged many of our assumptions about their capabilities. Starting with simple skill sets, we find that they are able to quickly move to increasingly complex undertakings.

Their inclusion invites us to celebrate a vision and sensibility that eludes our often taken-forgranted cursory observations and experiences.

At SOACH, we rejoice in the world of the differently-able, discovering talents and capabilities surpassing normal expectations.

While we all take pride in our heritage and fine craft, the real patronage for the traditional artisans is very limited and most of them are struggling for survival.

SOACH recognizes not just the expert

skill sets of traditional artisans but also the deep knowledge base they carry – insights and wisdom built over generations of fine crafting.

SOACH thus connects with these master artisans at two levels –first, by up-skilling them through design development support that connects to contemporary market demands, and second, by documenting their craft and traditional knowledge of perceptive intelligence.
