BHEENI MATI

BHEENI MATI works towards the conservation and management of natural resources such as air, water, soil and energy, simultaneously reviving sustainable and environmentally sound practices of food, housing & livelihood production..

All sustainable practices have traditionally been community based and integrated with life and nature’s every cycle.

Our concerns with the rapidly visible effects of environmental degradation have us seek out options of sustainable practices but for them to work we first, need to reintegrate our lives with our own as well as natures rhythms.

BHEENI MATI imparts training and awareness on:
  • Organic Farming
  • Green Construction Practices
  • Khadi Gram Udhyog
  • Water Harvesting & Management
  • Renewable Energies
  • Dry Sanitation & Sewage Management
  • Causes & Consequences of Environmental Degradation
  • Local Level Panchayat Governance and Village Development

Post the world wars, economic growth has been the sole measure of human development. Industrialization and a market driven economy have not only resulted in immense disturbance and destruction of earth’s ecological balance but also influenced human consumption patterns from need based to desire based.

Through participatory dialogues and discussions, SOACH engages with local communities, seeking to understand issues that concern them from their perspective. Simultaneously, SOACH aims at raising the critical consciousness of communities, creating awareness about the conservation and management of natural resources, as well as, the revival of sustainable and environmentally sound practices of food, housing & livelihood production.
